Gysahl Jean

Gysahl Jean is a 21 year old girl cursed to be an anthropomorphic Chocobo. She was born in the Renaissance era. When she was 5 she was out with her family in the local marketplace.  Walking past a stall, she saw something shiny that she liked in a stall off oddities and jewelries.  Not yet understanding the concept of money and bartering, she took the item without paying. At home that night she fell deathly ill as a terrible curse gripped her body.  The next day she had grown a beak, talons and feathers.  Her family, being of noble heritage, disowned and sent her away.  She then had to fend for herself, searching for a witch to remove the curse.  However, upon finding the witch, she learned that she did not like living without it as it allowed her to carry greater hauls, understand most animals and run at faster speeds than most humans.  Needless to say that a few days after finding the witch and ending the curse, she went back begging saidbwitch to recurse her.  When she was denied she stole a vial of poison from the witch and upon drinking it was cursed to be a Chocobo yet again however a secondary curse had been added due to the item that was stolen. Unbeknownst to Jean at the time the poison had not only made her immortal but had also made most poisons ineffective to her.  Now almost 450 years later she lives in Wolf's Corner where she hides a secret stash of treasures, some old artifacts from times since past and some just jewels and gold, to sell off at any time to keep her cash flow afloat.  Every decade or so she has to deal with the same witch coming by and telling her that they could remove the curse if they just paid for the poison. The 2 have become good friends over time of course.
